Payment Terms
To facilitate smooth international transactions and ensure trust between parties, Royal Bengal Jute adheres to standard international payment protocols.
1. Letter of Credit (L/C)
We highly recommend an Irrevocable, Confirmed Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight for all major wholesale transactions. This is the safest method for both the buyer and the seller. The L/C must be issued by a reputable international bank.
2. Telegraphic Transfer (T/T)
For smaller orders or existing clients, we accept T/T. Our standard structure is:
- Advance Payment: 30% to 50% T/T advance upon issuing the Proforma Invoice (PI) and confirming the order.
- Balance Payment: The remaining balance against the scanned copy of shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, etc.) prior to the release of the original documents via courier.
3. CAD (Cash Against Documents)
Subject to negotiation and a long-standing business relationship, CAD at sight may be accepted.
Note on Banking Charges
All bank charges occurring outside Bangladesh are the responsibility of the buyer/applicant.
